Director - Africa Scale Up - Association of Humanitarian Development (AHD)

I’m Karsten Gjefle, Director – Africa Scale Up for AHD. My experience prior to AHD spans sanitation innovations, agricultural value chain development, renewable energy initiatives, and sustainable business strategies. I have spearheaded transformative projects, such as combating aflatoxins in foods in Mozambique and fostering community development by creating sustainable jobs in production and nurseries. Fluent in English, Norwegian, and French – I leverage my cultural acumen to build partnerships, navigate complex political contexts, and drive solutions in diverse environments. I’m very much looking forward to see how my experience can secure national plans and investment in NADI water purification.
