Catalina Martinez

Head of Carbon and Impact Finance - Tree Global

Catalina serves as Head of Carbon and Impact Finance at Tree Global, mobilizing capital to finance large-scale ecosystem restoration projects, removing millions of tons of carbon, and empowering communities so that forests and biodiversity become engines for sustainable development. Catalina is also Lecturer in Impact Investing at the University of Geneva. Previously, Catalina was Head of Latin America at Blue Marble Microinsurance. She has also worked as consultant at FSG, ICRC, ITC, and OECD. Catalina started her career at Zurich Insurance Group Investment Management. She was Visiting Fellow at Harvard University and holds PhD in Development Economics from IHEID.
